Holy Cow, has it really been a year since I updated my blog?!?!?!

Well, a lot has happened in that year!!! We moved to Willcox, and then moved again recently into a new house with an option to buy!!!

In my last post I wrote about our newest niece Lylee being born. Well, she is a year old now...She is growing up to be such a beautiful little girl with the cutest personality!!! We are so blessed to have her in our lives!!

We have also added another addition to our family. Our nephew William Hawkins!! He was born on 8/19/10. He weighed 6 lbs 12 oz and was 18 in long. Yes, just like 2 of his older sisters. He is named after his great grandpa!! He is adorable, and we love having him in our family!!

Also, in August, our brother & sister-in-law were able to go to the Gila Valley Arizona Temple to be sealed and have their children sealed to them. It was a wonderful day and a great new beginning for their family!!!

This past July we were able to travel to North Carolina to attend and be in charge of The Giguiere Family Reunion 2010!!! The theme was Proud to be an American, Proud to be a Family!!! It was so much fun!!! And just to see the huge smile on Grandma's face made it all worth while!!!

Our newest little niece, Lylee Anne, was born on Wednesday 09/09/09!!!! She weighed 6 lbs 12 oz and was 18 in long. She has greyish-blue eyes and light brown hair.

Today is March 19th, and it was 91 degrees outside today. Beautiful weather for playing in the pool. The water in the pool was 72 degrees, but it felt good!!! These past few days our brother, Will, and his family were here visiting us and today we had a lot of fun in the pool. Even Gracee, our 11 month old niece, loved being in the water!!! It was great. Here are a few pictures!!!

Anniversary Fun!!!

January 31st, was our 5th wedding anniversary!!! We were able to spend the whole weekend, Thursday-Saturday, together. (That is just one of the perks of running your own business. You can take time off pretty much any time you want.) On Thursday we went shopping for some much needed supplies around the house (mainly toilet paper!!! LOL), then we went bowling. It was so much fun!!!! Then we took our friend, Peter (David's best man at our wedding!!!), to dinner with us to celebrate his birthday and our anniversary!!!

This was the one and only time that I was ahead!!!!

Then on Friday, we just hung out around the house. We made dinner together (Home-made chicken courdon bleu, and cheesy au-gratin potatoes), we made sugar cookies and decorated them for our dessert. And we enjoyed a romantic candle lite dinner for 2!!! It was a great anniversary!!! (Even though it was a day early!!!

Then on Saturday, our actual 5th anniversary, we spent the morning watching our wedding video!! It was so great!!! Some parts made me laugh (the photographer telling us to kiss so much!!!), and some parts made me cry (Dancing with my daddy!! That was a good cry!!). But all together it was so wonderful to be able to watch it. (Thanks mom and dad Travis for taping it for us!!!) David had to work that night, which is why we did the other stuff 1-2 days early!!!

We are so happy to have spent the last 5 years together and look forward to many more to come!!!!

Jayson's Baptism

Our nephew Jayson turned 8 years old on December 1st of last year. He made the decision to be baptized and become a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints!!! We are so proud of him and glad he made this wonderful decision in his life.

So David and I purchased another big rig semi truck. We have named it "The Jimmy Hawkins 2" which, like our other truck, is named after my Dad (Jim) and my grandpa (William Hawkins) that both love trucking!!! This truck is a Kenworth T600. We spent the day yesterday getting it ready for David to drive it across the country!!!

Yesterday, November 12, 2008, was my 29th birthday!!! It was a GR-8 day!!! Luckily David had the day off of work so we were able to spend the whole day together. I loved it!! My family called me all day to wish me a happy birthday. I wish I could have been with all of them, but being able to talk to each of them was wonderful!!!

David and I just lounged around the house all morning until we found out that he was off for sure (we never know until that same day if he has to work or not). Then we got ready for a night out together.

We went to sears to see if we could find anything that I could buy on our budget, and found nothing!!! But we did have a lot of fun at that store. They announced on the overhead speaker that they were going to have a promotional demonstration in 2 minutes from the time of the announcement and were going to give away free products!!! So we decided to go and see what they had to offer. We figured we wouldn't be out anything and it might be good for a laugh.

Well, it was!!! Good for a laugh that is!!! The picture below is what we received free!!!

If any of you have seen the infomercials on tv for sham-wow, this is the same thing only with a different name!!! And we got a little one!!! Isn't that exciting!?!?!?!?! The funniest part for us was when one of the other ladies listening to the demonstration got extremely angry that this was the ONLY free thing they were handing out unless you bought something. It is weird to me how seriously people take things sometimes.

Then we went on to do more shopping and then on to dinner at Ajo Al's. It is a great Mexican food restaurant!!! We love it. Great food - Great fun!!!

We had tons of fun with each other and all in all, I had a wonderful birthday!!!

David and I are very patriotic!! We love this great country!!! So we decided to make 1 whole room in our home reflect this patriotism of ours!!!! We are still getting stuff done in that room, but we decided to post some pictures of our progress.

October was filled with lots of family and fun for us!!! First my parents came to visit a couple times. The first time was on David's birthday and then they went to North Carolina to visit my Grandma and other family members. Then they were able to come spend some more time with us to finish off their vacation. It was so great. We had tons of fun!!! Mom was the most daring and got the furthest in the pool (up to her waist!!!). Dad and I just sat on the edge and put our feet in!! It was incredibly cold!!! 3 out of the 6 of Grandma's kids. My dad (the oldest), Leesa (the youngest), and David (next to the youngest). Kind of a mini family reunion!!! Grandma loved it!!!

Then my brothers were able to purchase tickets for the 3 of them plus my husband to go to the WWE monday night raw that was held in Tucson. So the 3 of them plus Will's wife, Rhonda, and their daughters, Andrea & Gracee, came down to stay at our house for a few days. Sunday afternoon we just lounged around and played in the pool. Gracee (6 months old) loved the pool, Andrea (19 months old) did not like it at all. She was so careful to just walk around the edge, but not get too close. Then she bent over to see if the pillow she was playing with would float. She leaned over too far and fell in. Uncle Andy got her out really quick, and she cried for a couple seconds. All was great after that!!! She wanted to go back in!!! Here are some pics from their visit!!!

Motherhood...

I now know why God gives us children as babies. It is so we can learn to be mothers before they are teenagers!!!!

Yesterday we had the opportunity to have Michael, Ryan, & Geoffrey spend the day and night at our new home. Michael just turned 14, Ryan is 10, and Geoffrey is 9 (all going on 40!!!). Since David had to work all night I got to be the parent!!! Wow am I exhausted!!!!

We started out in the swimming pool. (well the kids did anyway, way too cold for me!!!)

Then we went over to the park behind our house to play!!! (It was safer than letting them throw the ball in the house!!!)

Then we went to Peter Piper Pizza for dinner!!! We got the family pack which included 20 game tokens for each of them. So they had fun playing games and earning tickets. Here are the prizes they got with their tickets!!! (Oh, to be young again!!!)

Then we came home where they proceeded to go upstairs and drop the bouncy balls that they had won over the wall on the landing of the stairs and down into the family room. They wanted to see how high they could bounce. It is amazing how fast and furious the balls can go with tile floors and really high vaulted ceilings!!!! We almost found out the hard way what they can do to windows!! ugh!!

They all had fun and can't wait to come back. I...need a vacation!!!! All in all it was an ok day and we are glad that we live closer to them now.

So, this last saturday, we took a drive to Wickenburg to David's parents house to pick up our dog Rocky. They have been watching him for us for the last year while we were on the road. Now that we have our new home, David has been reunited with his best pal!!!

Thanks Mom & Dad Travis for taking such good care of him!!! We know you miss him, so come visit him (and us too) any time you want!!!

Also today I got some of the "pretty work" done in my living room.

So far, this has been a great week, and my parents are coming to visit on Friday, so that will make the week end in the BEST way possible. Spending time with people we love makes me soooooo happy!!! I can't wait!!!

Progress

So we have been really busy unpacking and getting things put away!!! I am having a lot of fun with it!!! I have a bigger house than I have ever had before so I now have room to unpack everything that I have ever bought or aquired. I love it!!! David has been helping me move the big furniture, and has left the "pretty work" to me!! I decided to take pictures of our progress so far. Hope you enjoy them!!!

This is our new refridgerador!!! This is the first house that we have had to provide our own fridge!!! We just got it delivered today!!

Ok, so the rumors are all true!!! Well the ones about us moving anyway!!! We will still be in Arizona, but not in Cottonwood anymore. We have found a home in Buckeye, which is a suburb of Phoenix. I am so excited!!! I love the house!! It is a 5 bedroom, 3 bath, 2 story home with a pool in the backyard!!! So as you can tell, we have plenty of room for visitors. If any of you are in our neck of the woods, give us a call and we would be glad to have you stay with us!!!

It amazes me how beautiful this whole country is. We have lived in a few states, and we have traveled all over the country in our truck we have seen the beauty of each state. But we have to say that we love Arizona the best right now!!!

So we are a little sad today. Laurie, Jayson & Tiarra left to return home to Boise. They have been visiting for the summer. We really miss them a lot. Tiarra is starting Kindergarten this year and Jayson is starting the 2nd grade!!! We are so proud of them!!!
